This is my second year using Jason's Deli (Cranberry) for Holiday catering. I pre-ordered boxed lunches for 125 people that were delivered by Jason's Deli the morning of the party. Joe selected an event menu ahead of time and then I created a Google form to take orders. I shared the form with Joe 1 week prior to the event. Pricing is reasonable and Joe and his team were pleasant and easy to work with. The boxed lunches make set up and clean up a breeze for the organizer. All boxes came labeled with the individuals name and what they ordered. Jason's Deli provided drinks also. It was a great experience both years.
Overview
Walking into Jason's Deli for the first time at 20117 Rte 19, Cranberry Twp, PA 16066, United States, you get that familiar diner comfort mixed with a modern, health-aware vibe. I’ve stopped here more times than I can count, usually between errands or after a long workday, and the experience stays consistently easygoing. The layout is open, seating is relaxed, and the pace works whether you’re grabbing lunch solo or meeting family for a casual meal.
The menu is where this place really settles in. Instead of forcing you into one lane, it spreads out with sandwiches, wraps, baked potatoes, soups, and pastas, all sitting comfortably next to lighter options. On one visit, I watched a group of coworkers order everything from turkey muffalettas to veggie-loaded wraps, and no one felt like they were compromising. The salad bar is a standout and often the reason locals keep coming back. It’s stocked with fresh greens, beans, pasta salads, and toppings that don’t feel like an afterthought. I’ve built the same spinach-based combo for years, and the quality hasn’t dipped.
From a professional food-service perspective, consistency like this doesn’t happen by accident. Jason’s Deli follows clear ingredient standards, including removing artificial trans fats from its food years before it became common practice. According to data from the American Heart Association, reducing trans fat intake lowers the risk of heart disease, and this commitment shows up in how the food feels after you eat it. You leave satisfied, not sluggish. The kitchen process focuses on made-to-order prep, which explains why sandwiches arrive warm without tasting rushed.
What also builds trust is transparency. Nutritional information is readily available, and that matters more than people realize. The CDC reports that over 40% of American adults are actively trying to reduce sodium or calories, and having that data helps diners make informed choices. I’ve seen parents use the menu to guide kids toward balanced meals, which says a lot about how approachable the information is.
The Cranberry Township location fits neatly into the larger list of Jason’s Deli locations nationwide, yet it still feels local. Staff members tend to recognize repeat customers, and service moves efficiently even during lunch rushes. During one particularly busy weekday, my order was still accurate and out quickly, which is no small feat in a high-traffic diner setting. That reliability is echoed in many online reviews that praise both speed and friendliness.
There’s also a quiet authority behind the brand. Jason’s Deli has been referenced by organizations like the Center for Science in the Public Interest for its early stance on cleaner ingredients. While no restaurant is perfect, and availability of certain menu items can vary by location, the overall execution remains solid. Occasionally, a favorite soup rotates out, which can be disappointing, but seasonal changes keep the menu from feeling stale.
What keeps me coming back isn’t just one sandwich or one visit. It’s the balance between comfort food and mindful eating, handled without preaching. You can order a hearty sandwich one day and a lighter plate the next, and both feel intentional. In a dining landscape crowded with extremes, Jason’s Deli sits comfortably in the middle, offering food that tastes good, feels reliable, and earns its reputation through everyday follow-through rather than hype.

Firsr time ordering and it was FANTASTIC! This potato was the size of 3 medium sized potatoes, the skin was crispy and it was super filling! My husband LOVED the chicken pot pie soup and the chicken alfredo was excellent. The portions were all equal to the price, if not a little bigger. The afredo had more chicken in it than most places. I also got a half reuben sammy and no lie, the amount of corned beef could have made a whole sandwich. We ordered door dash and got the order within 15/20 mins piping hot. I always call the business when everything impresses me especially 1st time ordering. I spoke to Mason at the Cranberry location who answered the phone with a huge smile on his face that could be felt thru the phone, he was very polite and professional. Also the meal was well packed. A++ transaction all around...we will definitely order many more times!
My husband and I opted to dine out before church and chose Jason's Deli, which will undoubtedly become our new tradition. Upon entering, the staff extended a warm welcome and provided attentive service throughout our meal. The panini was exceptional, served fresh and hot. The team went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. Notably, the restaurant maintained a high standard of cleanliness.
I've eaten at several Jason's Deli's around the U.S., because I like the place. The menu has something for everyone, and there are always new menu items to keep things interesting. The food and the service is consistently good. I've been to this location several times, and our last visit on Sunday was my best Jason's experience yet. The food was quick to the table and very well prepared. The staff seemed to have the kind of strong camaraderie that leads to good performance, and is rare in the food business these days. A fellow named Cameron was exceptional. He hurried to hold the door for us as we ushered in our elderly friend and said a few kind words before going back to his work. During our meal, he stopped by to ask if everything was to our liking, and seemed as if he sincerely cared about our experience. That human touch made an already good Jason's experience a great one.
To be honest…we were on our way to Panda Express when we spotted Jason’s Deli. So glad we ate here instead. We didn’t know what to expect…walked in like a couple of newbies. Looking clueless the servers were quick to help us figure out the menu. We committed to a Panini and a wrap. We were pleased with our choices…both good. The wrap actually had lots of chicken…it wasn’t overloaded with lettuce…enough protein to make it a meal. Can’t wait to go back because we took a quick peek at the salad bar…kinda disappointed we didn’t order that as well. Already planning our next trip…took a menu home…and even planning a few catering events for work functions. We were filled up on our sandwiches and chips but couldn’t leave without trying the complementary ice cream bar. Cups, cones, soft serve and chocolate sauce. The staff members were all very friendly and accommodating for two old people that didn’t know how things worked at the salad bar and the drink station. We chatted for a few minutes with Joe, the manager…a humble man with a good work ethic…honest attitude just wanting to see what we liked and didn’t like. Couldn’t think of anything we didn’t like about Jason’s Deli…I can see myself bringing my book club friends here for a quiet lunch. But I also imagine the guys will want to grab a hearty baked potato before an away football game. The strawberry shortcake with the fresh cream made it all the way home without getting soggy. Very good. Happy we tried something different. Will go back.
Love this place for the healthy menu, but especially the nicest people who work there. Kate was super sweet and went over and above to get my husband his favorite dressing when it wasn’t out on the salad bar. I had a nice conversation with Joe who does a great job managing the deli. I love that he has a heart for hiring special needs adults. My family and I will be returning often to support this restaurant, and you should too!
